What?
For the 2025-26 school year, GP is proud to be partnering once again with the Department of Early Childhood (DEC). The DEC is a department of the City of San Francisco that provides city funding for childcare programs and families. We were part of their Preschool For All (PFA) program, which has transitioned into their new Early Learning For All (ELFA) program.
Who?
ELFA funding is available to all families who are residents of San Francisco and income eligible based on the Area Median Income (AMI). At GP, we are able to offer the ELFA Tuition Credit (about $12,000/yr) to families whose income is between 111% and 150% of the AMI. Unfortunately due to DEC’s policies at this time, we are unable to offer the ELFA funding to families whose income is below 110% or above 150% of the AMI.
When?
This funding will begin at GP in the 2025-26 school year.
What is the AMI?
*Above 150% of AMI (Family of 3 over $202,296, Family of 4 over $224,796/yr, Family of 5 over $242,796)
*Between 110%+ and 150% AMI (Family of 3 between $148,356 - $202,296, Family of 4 between $164,856 - $224,796, Family of 5 between $178,056 - $242,796)
*Below 110% AMI (Family of 3 below $148,356, Family of 4 below $164,856, Family of 5 below $178,056)
"Total countable income" includes: gross wages/salary, disability/unemployment, worker's compensation, spousal support, rental income, cash assistance). AMI income levels are subject to change year to year.
So that we can better understand families' needs, please complete the following section.
